I am a visual artist based between Vienna and Cologne, working across painting, analog film, and live video.

I studied Comparative Literature at the University of Vienna, graduated from Friedl Kubelka School for Independent Film, and spent five years making (live) video for contemporary theatre at Volkstheater Wien.

My work is concerned with social and nature-based communities, which sounds much more organized than it actually is: The people in my work are usually trying their best and the landscapes are doing whatever they want. I usually begin with something recognizable and then follow it until it becomes something else.

I am interested in the space between observation and intuition, where contemporary life occasionally starts behaving like folklore.

Recent projects have been developed through residencies in Tokyo, Marseille, and Fukuoka.
